Bye bye travelogy 2012

dear readers and friends,

travelling was the thing and activity that unstoppable and inherit me to do so... as long as i live.

But, due to my pregnancy that now already in 2nd trimester which count 5 motnhs and 3 weeks, i have to slow down the URGE or speaking about topic of travelling.

But, that doesnt mean my head stop of thinking DESTINATION, WHICH AIR CARRIER, READING MATERIAL, MAGAZINE, TRAVEL PEEPS, RANDOM FOOTERS, TRAVELLING PHYLOSOPHY... and this this....

ha ha...

what mesmerized my self, once i knew that my belly contains a "baby"/ tiny human, i'm not traumatized or freak of getting what "CHANGES will happen.

The hormon turn to slow & steady. ACCEPTANCE AND THANK YOU.

 I read lots of blog motherhood writers + open chat with  friends about pregnancy topic, that non-scared me off.

Tips fo travelling with baby

1.Strategic Unpacking
Just as important as what you pack -- and you can check out get-ready checklists here -- in my opinion, is how you unpack.

2. Do it immediately.
As soon as you arrive (unless someone in the family is overly cranky or tired), set up your room to make it as close to home as possible. Put the baby in the playpen or hotel crib with a pile of toys and occupy an older kid with a coloring book. Or have your partner take the older sibling out to get the lay of the land while you unpack. Settling in will help you remain organized (and sane) throughout your stay.

3. Designate a baby-changing station.
Bring a box of wipes, lay out a changing pad (I like to put a disposable changing pad on top of a hotel towel), and stack a bunch of diapers in one area. That way, you won't need to chase down the diaper bag when that first big poop occurs.

4. Create a play space...
Stash toys and books on a low shelf or in a drawer, or keep all the playthings in one corner. Creating a place for your baby to play will make the room feel homey and keep it from looking like a disaster area.

5. Napping Smarts 
Your baby needs her naps, but you don't want to spend your whole vacation watching her snooze. Follow these strategies for squeezing in that daytime sleep:

6. Start walking.
When my daughter, Karissa, was a baby, she wouldn't nap in a strange crib while on vacation. So we planned our days around taking long walks with her napping in a stroller. Some moms advise bringing the lightest, most compact umbrella stroller on vacation to save room, but I always pack a stroller that reclines completely to make stroller slumber easier.

7.  Wear your baby.
If your baby doesn't sleep well in a stroller, try a front carrier (like the BabyBjorn) or baby backpack. If you've never used one at home but think it might be convenient on vacation, try it out a few times before you leave. Not all babies will like it, and it might be too hard on your back.

8. Go for a scenic drive.
Try taking leisurely drives to check out the area while your baby naps in the car seat. And on some trips, you can coordinate drive time between destinations with sleep time.

9. Take turns nap-sitting.
If your tot isn't an in-transit sleeper, don't be afraid to schedule naps back in the room. While it's a different vacation rhythm than you're probably used to, an a.m. break and midday siesta can be relaxing for you, too. Just consider your baby's napping style when booking accommodations; if you'll need to return to the room often, a hotel near the beach may be a better bet than a spot farther away, even if it's a bit pricier. If you can, book a room with a balcony or patio so the parent "on duty" can enjoy the outdoors, too.

10.  Easier Bedtimes
One of the most worrisome things about traveling with a baby is getting your tot to sleep in a new place. Here's how to up your odds of at least a few peaceful nights:

11.Do some trial runs.
If you're bringing a portable travel bed, have your baby sleep in it for a few nights before you leave. That way, it will feel like a familiar, comfy spot to go night-night on vacation.

12.  Give it a few days.
While it can be tempting to throw in the blankie and drive home in the middle of a sleepless vacation night with an inconsolable baby, I implore you to power through. Eventually, babies will adjust to their new surroundings and schedule, and sleep. If you can survive a couple of nights, I am (almost) willing to promise happy vacation days ahead.

13.  Book the right room(s).
If bedding down in the same room means no one will get any sleep, consider booking a suite or connecting rooms. A suite may offer the convenience of a kitchen area, but connecting rooms may afford more space at a cheaper price.

14.Stick to the routine.
If your baby's bedtime ritual at home includes a bath, lullabies, and a bottle, do the same on vacation to make up for the change in location.

15.  Get adjusted.
Instead of expecting your infant to shift her internal clock and adjust to a new time zone, shift your day: Stay up later or get up earlier than usual by a few hours.

16.  Meals on Wheels
Sampling local cuisine and splurging on restaurant meals are vacation pleasures I refuse to give up. Dining with babies can be done.

17.Breakfast in Bed.
Because our times to swim, hike, shop, or visit an aquarium are limited by morning and afternoon naps, it makes sense for the entire family to eat something quick in the hotel room. So we pack plenty of ready-made breakfast foods like mini-bagels, cereal bars, and fruit (bananas, apples).

18. BYOF.
If your baby drinks formula, it helps to pack more than you think you'll need. To save space, empty powdered formula into zipper-lock plastic bags. Or order heavy staples like diapers and formula -- even baby shampoo -- from a site such as diapers.com or Babiestravellite.com that will ship to your destination (and since you won't have to carry the formula, consider splurging on the ready-to-feed type).
Nurse wherever you feel comfortable.
You can breastfeed anywhere you are legally allowed to be.

18.  Bend the rules.
To enjoy dinners out, you may have to encourage what you would normally consider bad behavior. I don't let my kids watch TV while eating at home, but we always bring portable DVD players when we eat out. Putting on some Sesame Street for them allows us to actually taste the food we're shelling out big bucks for.

19.  Eat early.
Sure, a romantic dinner would normally be at 8 p.m., but by dining out at 5:30, you'll likely have an empty restaurant, room to park your stroller, and a short wait for your food. Alternatively, if your newborn loves to sleep in her car seat, make later reservations and then feed her a bottle or nurse her while you wait for your appetizers. Hopefully, she'll be out for the rest of the meal.

yesterday 15 November 2012 - was our 1st Muharam 1434.

me at home. With my mum and big sista. Watch tv programme/ drama till late 5pm.

Then bring mak to Aeon wangsamaju, mak was fasting today. Same goes with bapak in Penang.

we break-fasting at Kenny Rogers. Tempted. But, me? chicken... make me FULL.

unlucky, today, friday was AEON wangsamaju J CARD DAY... we lil early one day.

But, seem the different price offer not much, just J CARD 5% less, we just grab what we want. I bought AGENDA blazer 50% less and bedsheet.

Ann-taylor. RM50..... happy....

today friday, was the fifth day my ARMy far away from me. Me? insyallah...can survive.

JAPAN TRAVEL 10-14 SEPTEMBER 2012

WE BRING RM4,000 EACH.

Ms Tuti, who travelled together with same flight same destination. Only three of us.

On board. Due to heavy rain, the flight AK delayed for about 1 and half hours, LCCT.

10th September 2012.

Standby with the passport and embarkation card of Japan.

Tokyo, on second day- early morning we travelled by BUS to Tokyo to meet Ms Yashma and Mr Ahmad.Took about 8 hours overland journey OSAKA to Tokyo.

This how it looks on bed-seated coach. Comfy, with special blanket, simple beverages and toilet.

Thank you for the hospitality. Even stay less than 15 hours - we had really lot lots of activities. Tour, shopping, explorer and introduction of busy city and many peeps as TOKYO !!

A sip! You may find easily Starbucks everywhere in Japan. Must be they loved 'em so much. And must be, they were westernised  :)

On the orth day 13th Sept, we had half day guided tour by Mr. Rahman. Whom is permanent resident in Osaka. Malaysian, Johorian. Married with Japanese lady. very very helping us in touring Osaka - some part which is easily for us to find souvenirs, household to bring back, natural parks, local attractions.

just a simple short-story..
its about preparing go to Japan.

date 10-14 Sept 2012.
Travel with my husband and his collegues. Five of us.
Flight departed to Osaka, then we both might be overland travel Tokyo for 2D1N at my friend house Skinny Yash and Ahmad. Then back to Osaka, continue the rest 2 more days with Tourism Osaka and the rest.

today, my Army preparing visa at Embassy of Japan at Jalan Stonor.
We must prepared 2 copies of ID photo which white background.
We'll fly by Air Asia - RETURN Osaka  >  cost me RM 1000.00
5 paxs travel\ - tourism officers.

Finally, one more country i did conquered before i did (what an idea of writing)...
Country that composed a world history. And full of uniqueness.
Wish i had unforgettable memory / no drama / no fighting / bad things happen...amin.

Ramadhan - holy month 1433

Delightful.. and welcoming Ramdhan with full open naived-hearted.

Subhanallah. 29 Years Allah all mighty gave me strenght and let me lived in this planet called- earth.
al hamdullillah... alhamdullillah..

But this year, we start our 1st Ramadhan with touchful incident and regardless for losses our grandma. The only and the the one left. Hjh Kalsom Omar, who born in year 1921, died at 1.15pm on last saturday - 1 Ramadhan. We already realised that the situation become critical as the condition and health of my Maktok is no more consistence. Breathing and blood vessels problem made her more difficult to get better.

From KL, we drive back kampung. In our grandchild heart, which can whispered kalimah of "2 syahadah". Yes,we did it. We safely arrived to our northern side at Sg Dua, Butterworth. We get chance to kissed her and read a few times surah Al Yassin.

Saturday comes,and 1st Ramadhan in year 1433hijrah.
We more than 40 family members, start early morning warmth gathered read surah and Al Quran. Maktok breathed so hardly and fast. Her soul stilll here, but her self.... i guess, its time...
We make today as chance to gathered this huge number. Because, as previously...only us...little.

Me and a few went to market to buy some groceries follow as we planned to cook and break-fast together.
Time can be hold. On the way back home, we received called that mak tok already "naza' ".
Once reached, i can see maktok face and skin turn sooo pale and yellownish. She already left us. I knew it  :(   mak and paksu face, too patient, let her go. They dont want their mum suffered anymore.

We pause. Bibik bring all the groceries to kitchen.

Innalillahwainalilahhirojiun  :(   my tears dropped. Ya allah...

She left us. That half our pray. To let her free. She already suffer more than 3 years... no more eating/drink/ appetite...so skinny... dehydrated.
Allah swt loved her more.
She back to the holy land / grave which we all will reached one day. What Skin tone, how much money you have, how many car you have...all must be left. Thats the gratitude for your workful whle living...... But not there. 

Jenazah was placed at Kg Permatang Tok Jaya graveyard. Same with her husband Abd Rahman. Once settle around 6pm, we went out to Pasar Ramadhan nearby Maklom, to buy food.

8th July...18 Syaaban....

as normal weekend, cant presume anything much, what the excitement and normal weeknders do, we did too.
As last night, all of MLS crews sorber for  next late night shooting at KJ and De Palma Hotel Shah Alam.

and today, Sunny Sunday, we woke up late afternoon 12.30. Kindda DISCHARGE from the long tube to be drained out. Haha....
and begin the day, lunch with in laws familia.

5 adults, 3 kids, 1 baby......

and we drove to Low Yat for some electronics, fun stuf to buy / windowm shop.

Its STILLED his place.. he loved to go that place. Me? Loved too, coz i can see human VS technology (Not all the time people love Green)

We're kindda of run of time. At 5pm he must be home.
He and his crews must go to Saujana Golf Subang. Next shoot reception/wedding client.
its already 4pm. He suddenly ask me to grab a drink in Starbuck. Mmmmm...crutial attention.
(Since when he loved a coffee- But wihtout further doubt, i queue and get a seats)

Then he missing for a bout half an hour. I'm wondering, where is MY ARMY?

and soon, he come over, with "white and black paper bag, with logo BITTEN APPLE infront"

wow.... must be he spend for his studio. He just passed me the bag- that content the NEW IPAD, and say "ITS FOR YOU".

But, perhaps with one CONDITION, i'm asking him to consider this present as an advance gift for my 30th birthday present this Dec. For me,I prefer TRAVEL treats.....

I want him to SAVE more. Duit biar membukit. Senang kalau medication tua nanti, treatment hospital yang comfort....bla..bla... (suara hati)

30 days run so quick. Lots of business thing to be done. Lots of people need to be filled.

Only 20 days left before we start fasting in the holy month of Ramadhan.Great great. I cant hardly wait.
For second time this year, me and husband manage to celebrate together. The REDDISH color theme last year, will change to the next color?

let my mom choose it. She very very exhilarating for season Syawal to come. Gladly to see and look real my self (when my last visit), my mom already built new us BBQ griller stand outdoor - small but nice and at airy place. Good for smokey grill flow. A piece of garden, cut into two... bapak got his space and so do mak. the beauty fish, KALOI got his big place too...

Continue story about my Maktok, Hajah Kalsom,our beloved grandma..was warded to KPJ specialist hospital at PERDA area near Seberang Jaya since last week. Due to folk sicknest(kidney failure,muscle strained...) and advised from other children, she make her self longer in ward for better treatment. I had short visit but still had no chance to visit maktok. The distance away from Bus terminal. Maybe one day we go back. Pray to Allah keep her health good. We love you maktok. Keep good health.

My in-law side, two of their cousin just get married. Congrats to Linda & Iqbal and Syafiq & his partner. Lovely pretty. We try to fulfilled all invitation, but gods will. Insyallah. Damn busy and tiring all days. The another cousin sister Malacca, called Along Rindu went for Umrah. Wish her the best of luck. And precious stone little Azri - who called, just adopted around May by my husband sister cousin, Kak Ngah. Quickess motherhood coming in yourlife. Miracle....

BV Girls...
one of us, Yash was far in the sunrise country JAPAN with beloved husband. Transfer out for 2 months. Diana, out station a few times this month, Delhi and Macau.
Sad news, Azealea just lost her great grandmother, Maktok last week. Condolences to the family. Others, Ms. Fina friend of Diana, already a month married...good luck on life journey.

When Life Throws You Lemons

...you make Lemon Meringue Pie!
I love lemons and I don't really mind if life throws me a lot of them continuously . They are expensive here and having them in my kitchen makes me feel rich and regal somehow.
The yellow fruit was going at 40sen each at Carrefour the other day and I bought a plasticful! There is a story behind my love for lemons, yes there's always a story with me.;o). When I was expecting my second child, I needed to have the scent of a lemon close to my nose. If I could not get hold of the real fruit, I would settle for the scented lemon soap. I would have it in my handbag and constantly in my hand when I was in the delivery room. It allowed me to focus and calmed me down nicely. So from then on I was hooked.
I made this pie twice already this week in anticipation of Zue's visit actually. But she could not make it since I don't drive that far out to her sis' place. Sorry Zue, maybe next time k.
So here's the recipe.


Lemon Meringue Pie

The crust (A recipe inspired by my kemalasan maksima)
2 cups all-purpose flour


1 Tablespoon castor sugar


1/2 teaspoon salt of rock salt


2 tablespoons of cold milk mixed with 1/2 cup of canola oli.

You need to whisk together the dry ingredients in a small bowl. In another bowl, mix the oil and milk and beat till frothy. Then add the wet ingredients slowly to the dry ingredients and knead until a ball of dough is formed. It should be soft. Press the dough onto your pie mould. This would spread perfectly onto an 8 inch pie mould. And pop it into your oven 180 degree Celsius until the crust turn light yellowish.

The Lemon Custard. (I tweaked from Yanie's Lemon Bars recipe)
1/2 cup sugar
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 large egg yolks (keep the whites for the meringue)
Zest from 1 lemon and Juice from 1 lemon1/2 teaspoon vanillaa pinch of salt


Mix all the dry ingredients together then add the the yolks and the zest and mix well. When the pie crust is ready turn the oven to 150 degrees Celsius and pour the custard onto it and bake till it does not jiggle in the centre. When the custard is baking in the oven, prepare the meringue.


The Meringue
2 of the remaining egg whites3 Tablespoon castor sugar,1/2 tablespoon cornflour,1/2 teaspoon vanilla

As an excited nothing good news coming. Two sons of my bff, Adam and Alee, just celebrated their year first birthday. Daughter of my cousin, Batrisyia already turn 10 months. Cute-pie face..petit.

and my parent turn their ages to 61th this year.

my lil sister already 1 and half year on going master.

Big sister, already 34 years - being single, simple & happy of her own world...

My Army, who's ambitious + energetic + hardworking loved his passioned in photography, already 4 years now,

and our rendezvous lovy dovey already 3 years....

A clean and spacious studio has been rented by Mazelensastudio with Chipchiphoorey company (performed as Chiptuners Malaysia) Aimen Xavier and Chippee.

on 29 March, the landlord handed a set of keys. And now in process of uploading - interioring the space..

but first come first, queueing of albums distracted my hubby to more "wildenest" in decorating the space. We leave it, probably June - with $$ is tolerate with our guts, and the result turn PERFECTO.

Cant wait. I will support you. Nothing else.
